A page of hints and tips to have the best cheecks around! lol :) Remember not to put loads on. You want it to look subtle and natural. The trick is that no one should be able to tell you're wearing it!! To get the shade of blusher that's right for you, look at the colour of your cheeks during or after exercise. Your blusher should be a similar colour. Your perfect shade should blend easily with your skin tone so if your blusher is strongly standing out, the shade is too strong for your skin tone. If you've applied too much blusher, simply dust over with some translucent powder. Your perfect shade Fair skin - Look for soft pinks and muted browns. Apply sparingly until you get your desired shade. Medium skin - You should use slightly warmer shades. If you have blue eyes try shades of pink; if you've got hazel/brown eyes try blushers with a browny tint. Olive skin - Try brown-based shades with a hint of red or plum. Dark skin - Use rich shades like reddy browns, dark browns and bronzes. Use shades of gold for highlighting the tops of your cheekbones. Different types of blusher Powder - The most common. Easy to apply by using a brush. If you have sopts/zits, powder is best to use because it doesn't highlight them. Cream - Available in pots or tubes. It looks fresh and natural but be careful when applying it and make sure you blend it in REALLY well. Avoid if you have quite oily skin. Gels/stains - These are great for applying a quick fix of colour and are also good for oily skin types. They dry quickly, so blend in straight away. Where to blush
Use a large brush to avoid streaks, apply colour evenly and to look soft. Look for brushes that are slightly rounded rather than flat for a more even appearance. Dab your brush on the back of your hand to get rid of any excess powder Use your fingers to apply cream blusher and blend in with circular motions. Back | Forward Advertised |
