Spots/Zits
- There is no proof at all that chocolate gives you spots, or fried foods. But...if you find that you 'break out' after eating a certain food, you might want to cut that out of your diet :)
- According to dermatologists, toothpaste and calamine lotion have no effect on zits...but personally, I think they sometimes work so go ahead and try them!
- Only the following are likely to cause you blemish problems: stress, sleeplessness, smoking, sweat, staying indoors (for long periods) and sunshine.
- Sunshine does not help spots - it either helps make your skin more oily or dries it out altogether. However, some sun in small doses can help your skin look clear and fresh.
- Use a good moisturiser and wash your face morning and night to get rid of dirt and grime.
- Never wash your face with soap or use a towel on your face that you use on the rest of your body.
- Try not to touch your blemishes or pop them; you can scar your face that way!
- If you feel you are constantly gettig bad outbreaks of zits, visit your doctor or get a second opinion.
