If you have hardly any Neopoints, then you need to earn a lot by playing games, opening up a shop and selling stuff (even if it's only junk), trading, gambling and getting freebies from the Dailies. The best way to get points is NOT to go around the site asking people for them. Would you go up to any random person in the street and say, 'I'm poor, will you give me loads of money?' No, I didn't think so. People would be offended in the street, and it's the same on Neopets. Don't give up before you've started. Even if you think you're crap at games or whatever, try some of the basic ones. You don't need to be good at them, but you'll improve anyway if you play regularly. To be honest, I'm not into all the adventure playing games and stuff on Neopets, I tend to stick to stuff like Meerca Chase and Extreme Herder, which are very quick games that can earn you hundreds. Once you've earned points, don't go and spend them on junk or food!! Get food from Tyrannia for free (the omlette which gives you 3 servings per day). Open up a Bank Account and deposit points everyday as well as collecting interest. Over time, you'll also pick up rare items through giveaways (such as the Advent Calendar), donations from friends and bargains you manage to pick up cheaply. People often say, 'Well Neopets isn't any fun if you don't have lots of points!' That's totally not true. You can do hundreds of things - chat on the boards, draw and submit pictures, learn HTML etc. that you don't need any points for. If you keep to a set routine every day or every few days for point collecting, you'll soon have loads anyway. For example, the Neopets account I have at the moment I started in 2002, and about six months later I had more than 300k in points and probably about 600k in rare items alone. I didn't go on Neopets religiously for that period at all, I sort of went on and off Neopets for a bit. I probably didn't spend more than two hours a day on it when I was most hooked, so there you go! Back | Forward Advertised |
