Budgeting for Teenagers

• Make a list of what you want or need to buy, and then stick to it!

• Before buying something, think about whether you really need it and what else you could spend the money on.
  
  
• Try and save some money, even if it's only a few pence every so often. It'll soon add up.
  
  
• If you save £2 or $3 a week, you'll have lots of money to spend on presents at Christmas and you won't even notice the money's gone :)
  
  
• Cut down on buying snacks after school and at weekends.
  
  
• When buying clothes, make sure they aren't just about to go out of fashion and try and keep them as practical and wearble (i.e. right for the season and can wear it with nearly all your other clothes) as possible.
  
  
• If you're not old enough to get a job, ask your parents or neighbours if you can do odd jobs for them for some extra cash.
  
  
• See what you can sell. Your junk may be someone else's treasure. Try Ebay or Swap It Shop.
  
  
• Get your parents to buy you as much as possible lol.
