This is designed for offline use. Online, as long as you aren't purposely rude and stick to Internet ettiquette (e.g. don't TPYE IN CAPS because it's considered shouting), you should be able to get along with just about anybody. In real life, it's harder.


• Compliments work well. For example, if you say to someone you don't know or don't know that well 'I like your hair', it only seems small and simple but already they're getting good vibes from you :)
  
• A lot of people liked to be asked questions they can answer or like to think they're clever. Asking a question can often help your relationship with someone - as long as it isn't inappropriate or stupid.
  
• Be yourself, if you're talking to someone you want to make friends with. Never pretend to be something you're not, it just won't work out.
  
• Offer to do something for the person, like take their coat or get them a drink.
  
• Always be polite.
  
• Smile!
  
• If someone says something rudely or inappropriately, change the subject or (politely) ignore them ;)
  
• Don't believe anything really important about the person if you get told by someone else.
  
• Never judge a person based on what someone else has told you about them, or on their looks. We've all done it :S
