Homework Help
For all of us there's been at least one time where you've looked at your homework and though 'WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!' Or it's been something you THOUGHT you could do but it turned out it wasn't. And you had to get your mum to write you a note or you had to quickly scribble down the right answers from your friends at break. To end all this and become more organised, read on!
How to work
- Work in a quiet environment at a table or desk.
- Keep your work area tidy.
- Have everything you need on hand or near you.
- Aim to work at least 30 minutes at a time, then have a break.
- Don't have the TV or radio on - my science teacher said that at least part of your brain
- focuses on listening to the music/sounds and not concentrating on your work!
- If you are learning something off by heart, learn 2 or 3 words at a time if it's a foreign
- language, or 2 or 3 sentences at a time if it's another subject.
- Make sure you have no distractions.
- Tell yourself, 'Ok , I WILL do this piece of homework and THEN I will watch TV for a bit'.
- Do all your homework the night before or at weekends NOT in the morning like me!
