Have trouble learning words in a foreign language, or even English? Here's some tips to help you pass even the toughest vocab. tests.
• If the test is a fairly long way off, keep going over your words.
• The best way to learn them is to write them down.
• Organise them into blocks of 3 words, so that you can learn them easily.
• Try and have each 'block' similar, so you might have 3 words that are all the same gender or start with the same letter or something.
• After you learn one block, learn another. Then test yourself on both together.
• After the 5th block, test yourself on the 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st lol!
• Don't panic!
• Don't leave it till the last minute.
• Get someone to test you on them at least once.
• Get up early the morning of the test and go through them a few more times.
• Practise in as many ways as you can; so if you were learning German words, learn all of the German and all of the English translations and vice versa.
• Don't worry if you have the occasional bad test, it happens to everyone :D
• The tests themselves aren't important, it's the actual word-learning that is so make sure you do it!!
