Before you buy something because it looks 'pretty', or goes with your colour scheme, think about it's values. For example, is the sofa you're going to buy going to give your Sims 8/9 Comfort points when they sit down? It's more efficient to buy the biggest value items for your Sims. If, for some reason, you're trying to save money, still buy the basics. Buy the most expensive bed, sofa, TV, and cooker or fridge. Your Sims will get things done in half the time ;) Don't over-furnish rooms. If your Sims have so much stuff they can't walk straight across a room they are going to get stressed. Don't under-furnish rooms. Click the icon that looks like a house on your Sim's mood thing and it will show you what your Sims think of their house. Furnishings are on that list. They are important :P Always use pictures. My favourite one is the painting of fruits because it adds loads to a room's score. If your Sims don't like rooms in their house, clean them up (if they are dirty) and shove one or two of those pictures on the walls. They are expensive but worth it. Remember the KuteKitten Golden Rules of Sim Rooms (lol how corny): Always have plenty of big windows, wall lights, don't make your rooms too big or small and always employ a maid. Some people say plants aren't worth the hassle, but put loads in your rooms and simply employ a Gardener (that comes every 3 days or so). It's not that expensive. A good tip is to buy an end table and put it near the door for your Sims to place bills/newspapers on. Back | Forward Advertised |
