Sim Games

There are lots of Sim expansion packs out. You also have to load them in the order below on your computer or they won't work. I've left the Deluxe Edition out on purpose :)

The Sims - This is the first, basic Sims game. You must have it to play any other expansion packs. It has basic items etc.

Livin' It Up/Livin' It Large - This was the first expansion pack and has loads more items etc. I don't really know much about this one because I don't have it!!

House Party - This is a cool edition. You can have loads of party stuff like buffet tables, dance cages and light up floors, and the option of hiring a Caterer becomes available. I would recommend buying this version!

Hot Date - This is lots of fun. More social options become available, like cuddling up on couches and washing, playing etc. in Hot Tubs. You can also visit Downtown for a meal or to go shopping. I love this! It's the best one to meet new people because you can introduce yourself to loads of people Downtown.

On Holiday - In my opinion, this is the worst of the expansion packs. Although you get lots of new items, going on holiday is awkward, especially if you have pets. I often find I have to change the accommodation and stuff for my Sims, because otherwise they get bored and upset. There isn't a lot of variety: you can go camping, to the beach, or on a snow holiday, and they could have made things a bit more interesting, for example the ability to sunbathe, go skiing or sing camp fire songs, create a children's camp etc. This was quite a disappointment :( Another bad thing is your holiday lasts 1 night, and if you don't check out in time you have to stay another. Whilst you're on holiday, you can meet new people but your relationships with your neighbours drop.

Unleashed - This is my fave expansion pack. You buy dogs and cats which are sort of like Sims although you don't control them properly. You can buy endless toys, treats etc. which are fun! You can also buy talking parrots, lovebirds, fish, iguanas, turtles and apparently monkeys (though I've never seen anywhere you can get a monkey). It also contains over 100 new items, different career tracks like in fashion, education and pets. You now have the option of visiting Old town, where you can eat, go shopping etc. There is also the opportunity to go to a pet show with your cat or dog, which is really fun! The cats and dogs also do really cute things. For example, if the dog likes a Sim who goes to work, when the Sim comes back from work the dog will stop whatever it's doing and immediately rush to greet them which is so sweet! If it's obedient it will also bring in the newspaper. Cats have loads of toys that they look really cute playing with :)

Superstar - Turn your Sim into a celebrity with this expansion pack. It's pretty good, and also quite hard to complete a career path, so you will probably get quite a lot of help out of this one. You can get the butler too, which is a pretty nice feature :)

Makin' Magic - Your Sims can become witches and wizards with this expansion pack. To be honest, I think it's getting a bit silly now so I haven't played this one, but my sister has and she says it's amazing.
