You need to be hosted or have your own domain with CGI for this to work. If you aren't sure, check with your host. 1. Download this file. 2. Unzip the file, and open the count.txt document. 3. Change the number to 1, or if you had a counter before, change it to that number (e.g. 28,795 or something). 4. Upload the files into your FTP in a folder called count in ASCII mode. 5. CHMOD counter.cgi and count.txt to 755 (look at my CHMODing tutorials if you are unsure about this part). 6. Add this code to the index page of your site: 7. Change http://your-site.com to the actual URL of your site and save!
