Writing Tutorials

A tutorial on tutorial making! How weird :P

1. Make sure you make everything step by step, so it's much easier to follow.
2. Try and explain every tiny detail so people can't mess up.
3. Always give credit for any sites you got inspiration/help from.
4. Suggest that people e-mail you if they have any problems.
5. Update your tutorials from time to time.
6. Try not to write tutorials that depend on sites that may close, or on fashions which will change.
7. Make sure you yourself understand what you're on about!
8. Wherever possible test your tutorials, or get a friend to try them out to make sure they are right.
9. Never steal tutorials from other sites.
10. Use lots of diagrams and images so people have a visual guide too.
11. Organise your tutorials carefully so that your visitors can find what they're looking for easily.
12. Make sure that if the tutorial has requirements (such as the need for CGI or something), you state that at the beginning.
13. Don't write tutorials you don't have a clue about just to add more lol.
14. Never direct link or take other peoples' images for your tutorials.
15. Have a set layout for all your tutorials so that your visitors don't get confused and it looks tidy.
