1. Go to a Photoshop/Paint Shop Pro brush download site; you could search for one, or try a site like Websoup, and download a set of brushes (make sure you 'Save file to disk'). 2. Unzip the file(s) using Winzip if you need to. Then find either PSP in your computer files (on my computer it's C: > Program Files > Jasc Software Inc > Paint Shop Pro 7), and move your custom brushes into the 'Brushes' folder (or somewhere close!) 3. If you downloaded Photoshop brushes, at this point you will probably need to re-name the file after you download it to your-file-name.JBR, or it won't work. 4. Open up PSP, and make a new document. Then click 5. See the mini brush pic, with an arrow next to it? Click it, and choose 'Custom'. ![]() 6. Click 'Edit paths', and if you didn't save the brushes into the brushes folder, then type in the file path into a white blank box. Click 'Enable this path', and 'Save to path', then 'Ok'. If you put them in the 'Brushes' folder originally, you shouldn't need to do this. 7. You should now be able to select all your new downloaded brushes from the 'Tool Options' box! If you can't, close PSP and repeat steps 4 and 5. 8. You can start using them now! Look at the lovely effects you can get with brushes: ![]() But remember...be careful about downloading/opening files if they look suspicious or damaged, and that sometimes brushes don't work at all, depending on where you get them from.
