This tutorial is based on Jess's. 1. Download these filters and unzip. 2. Once you've unzipped the file, you need to drag the main folder to C: > Program Files > Jasc > PSP 7 > Plugins to install them. 3. Now open up PSP; if it was already open, close it and re-open. 4. Open up a new image or open up the image you want to add text to. Then click ![]() 5. Once you've chosen a nice chunky font and are happy with your options, press 'Ok'. Your text should now have floating dotted lines around it and look something like this: ![]() 6. Now go to Effects > Plug-in Filters > Eye Candy 3.1 > HSB Noise. 7. Adopt these settings or similar: ![]() 7. Click the first pencil icon next to the drop down menu on that screen and save the settings as 'Diamond text' so you can find them easily next time. Then click the yellow tick/checkmark to 'accept' the effect and wait for it to be applied to the text. 8. Go to Selections > Select None. Your text should look something like this: ![]() 9. Now when you want to use that effect again, simply follow steps 4, 5 and 6, then choose 'Diamond Text' in the drop down menu instead of changing all your settings again. 10. To make your text sparkle a little more, choose a grey colour then click here and if the small 'Tool Options' box isn't on your screen, right click 11. See the mini brush pic, with an arrow next to it? Click it, and choose 'Custom'. ![]() 12. Find the brush below that looks like a cross, or use a similar looking one if you don't have it for whatever reason. ![]() 13. Now click a few times over your text to add some more sparkle. Play about with the opacity and shades of grey you use too; just don't go too mad! Once you're happy with the result, save.
