First of all you need to get a background for your page. You could search for a nice background, or click here. Or, you could make your own in Paint or something; remember a very simple design is the best to use. It only needs to be a small image, for example just one star. The star will be repeated all over the background. When choosing or making your background, it's important to choose colours that you can see your font on easily, and preferably use a background that isn't too heavily patterned, or animated in any way. Stuff like that can take ages to load and be really irritating visually :P 1. If you want your background just as a different colour, and not as an image:  2. You can change the colour 'red' to any you like :) 3. To add an image as your background, first of all upload the image and then open up the page you want to add your background to and use this code:  4. Change "your background.gif" to your actual image name. Then save your page. 5. When you scroll down the page, you might want to have the background stay in the same fixed place as you scroll.
