Christmas 2003 - What do you think of David Blaine?
Generally I think more people believed he was just out for fame and fortune rather than doing it for himself.

Name: Rachel
Comments: My opinion: I think what David Blaine did was demonstrate what the human body was capable of, nothing more. He didnt sit there for money, he didnt sit there for respect, he did it for himself. You might say "if he didnt want attention and money, why did he do it in public?". Well, lets face it, would you believe him if he announced that he had survived on water for 44 days and he had done it in his house? I know I certainly wouldnt! I think he deserves respect as he could have died in the name of experimentation, and it seems to me a worthy thing to do. He has my support :)

Name: Laura
Comments: I think David Blaine's stunt was all for publicity. It's not because he wanted to prove he could do it, it was because his career was on the down-spin and he needed an immediate uplift. It worked, but at the end of the day, is he respected or has he made a complete fool of himself trying to make a point. =/

September/October 2003 - Is cheerleading a sport?
There were a lot of opinions about this, but I think slightly more than half thought cheerleading WAS a sport. Here are a couple of submissions I had:

Name: Brittany
Comments: Yes cheerleading is a sport I have been cheering since I was 4 years old. I mean come on you people call gymnastics a sport, well cheerleading contains cheering, dance, and gymnastics. There was a test conducted about a month ago about was cheerleading a sport and they took a few different types of cheerleaders, football players, basketball players, etc and found out that the cheerleaders were more fit than all of them so we are considered athletes which makes cheerleading a sport! Matter of fact I have a varsity football game tonight!!! GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!

Name Sydney
Comments I wouldn't consider cheerleading a sport although it is part of a sport. You don't go to a stadium to watch cheerleaders, when you might go to a stadium to watch a football game or a skating competition. Cheerleading is like a spin off of a tv show, it might be similiar to the original but it isn't the same. I think cheerleading is more of a 'warm up' exercise to gymnastics or dance. Not to mention that where I'm from you don't get paid for cheerleading and most people get paid for professional sports.

June/August 2003 - Michael Jackson: Fun or Freak?
Probably about 90% of people who submitted thought he was a freak. Most seemed to prefer him when he was black, and many criticised the changes to his looks, including the plastic surgery.

Name: Miekia (mj)
Comments : MJ was cool, when he was black! He changed... I have black in me and I think that, that sends a message that he didn't like to be black... he has had like plastic surgery done on everything... so I guess you could call him a freak...

Name: Nikki
Comments: Hes a freak, there's no two ways about it to be honest. He scares the hell outta me. Personally I think he should be locked up, but we all have our own opinons...

April/May 2003 – Is it right to start a war?
Most people thought that it wasn’t right to start a war, and some people thought that as long as it was a justified war, it was acceptable. The last two submissions I received are below:

Name: Kitty Kat Kara
Comments: I think sometimes it is necessary to start a war because others are being complete idiots and thinking all big of themselves. But then there are stupid wars where it's not even worth fighting because everyone knows who's going to win.

Name: Mandi
Comments: I believe it's right to start a war if the reasons for starting it are honourable, or as honourable as possible.

March 2003 - Avril Lavigne: Punk or Poser?
The general feel was that she is a poser. Some people like her music for what it is and don't appreciate her labelling herself punk. The last 3 submissions I received are below:

Name: Hazel
Comments: I don't really care how Avril labels herself. People seem to judge her purely on how she labels herself, which I think is just as sad really. I am neither for or against Avril... In my opinion she's just someone who wants to sing and likes to label herself as the record company tells her and if that's what she wants to do, I couldn't care less. I think she should just be herself, but... hey, that's life! :)

Name: Amber
Comments: I am sorry to anyone who likes Avril, but I do not. I don't like the way she dresses, fo rone thing, because there's a difference between casual and just-got-out-of-bed-looking. I mean, come on, she wears ties with tank tops! And her music is pop, and rock, and r'n'b, and rap, and love songs; can't she just make up her mind?!

Name: Erica
Comments Avril is definitely the biggest poser I've ever seen. If I saw her I'd probably try to kill her :). I listen to real punk. She doesn't even like the Sex Pistols! No real punk wouldn't listen to them because they're old. Anyone who likes her needs to start to think for themselves and find some good, real music to listen to. Complaints? Email me.
